Restaurant @ Bastide du Calalou
An exceptional culinary experience, and this is already the second time I've had the pleasure of dining there! The menu is fantastic, with a wide selection of dishes, each more appetizing than the last. The same goes for the drinks, with a particularly remarkable selection, especially the wines.
Dinner was absolutely delicious, with dishes as beautiful as they were flavorful, enhanced by meticulous presentation. A huge congratulations to the chef for this memorable gourmet experience, as well as for the quality and creativity of the dishes.
Thank you also to the front-of-house team for their attentive service. Between the magnificent view, the sunset, and the impeccable quality of the cuisine, everything came together for a perfect evening.

We were extremely disappointed with the €55 set menu. The starter consisted of a maximum of 30 grams of trout and a tiny bowl of salad, the cheese course was a mere sliver per bite, and the dessert was the same. This is why people don't go to restaurants anymore—to avoid child-sized portions for €55. We left hungry and feeling completely ripped off.

We had been there a few years ago. At the time, the owners were a rather elderly couple, very friendly. The place hasn't changed, the view is still magnificent overlooking the garden and the Var hinterland. The welcome is friendly. As for the food, it hasn't evolved much; it's still decent but a bit pricey for this type of restaurant, though not excessively so. Good ingredients, good quality bread, and a small wine list featuring local wines. It's easily accessible, and it remains a good restaurant that could improve. We would have liked to enjoy the pool in this heat, but the road called us back to our wanderlust.
